Delicious!!! Fast service, we tried their mozzarella moons and they were yummy. Best steak I've ever had as well!

Love this place. Steaks are high quality, sides are good, and if you dont get any appetizers the food comes out really fast. I personally like cooking on the hot stone, because then my steak stays hot the whole time and I can control how done it gets. You do walk out smelling like meat and it's quite smokey inside because the food is cooked on stones but that doesn't bother me any. This is my go-to nice night out with my husband. We have been 10+ times and have never been disappointed in the food or the service.

Absolutely WONDERFUL! Stopped here on a whim on our way to the UP and had one of the nicest dining experiences in a long time. I love the whole idea of cooking my own steak at the table, it's cooked exactly the way I want it. Fries are delicious, kind of like they've been dipped in cornbread and deep fried. Delicious fresh salad, and the draft root beer is incredible. We're almost tempted to drive the 3.5 hours just to eat here again.

Everyone thought the food was very good. Everyone loved the brussel sprouts. My truffle fries however came out completely cold and the waitress didn't explain to its how to cook the steaks and some people were trying to cook the whole thing in one piece, which doesn't work. I had to refer back to the menu. Luckily there were still some at our table.

Following all guidelines for the CDC very helpful staff making sure their customers are happy. Clean and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend.

We went on Friday, 11/1 in the afternoon, Dillon was our server. He provided excellent professional and friendly service. We have a Black Rock about 20 min from our house, but we choose to drive about hour to this location because we have always received quality friendly service here. This visit we also got to talk with Ross, the manager. He, too, was incredibly friendly and seeemed genuinely appreciative of our comments regarding the staff and food. We highly recommend this location for great quality food and service.

Great food and very good drinks. I love the fact you can cook your steak exactly how you like it. The now have the impossible burger so vegetarian GF is alot happier about going. Only downfall and reason for 4 starts instead if 5 is the smoke. You see the cloud of smoke as soon as you walk in. When you leave there you definitely smell like food. Some ventilation or air purifiers would do this place wonders!

Really nice eating establishment. Steak excellent, shrimp excellent, appitisers excellent, beer good. Great service from a very polite and cheery person. Last comment about the signature dessert....more than I and my wife could possibly eat....yum!

Very noisy,loud music but love the steak on a stone.Asparagus was like 4 pieces ,one was old dried up stump but other than that.Its okay.

This is mine and my girlfriends favorite place to just kick back and have a few drinks, the atmosphere here always seems great and we try to meet up here once a month or so.... not bad.

We had a great time here. It was crowded, so I am glad that we utilized priority seating. Our wait was very reasonable. The steak was good and very filling. We will be back to try some of the non stonecooked items. My only complaint was the amount of smoke in the room. We were sitting near a few large groups that all ordered steaks and so after a few moments the room was quite smoky and the smoke got in our clothes. A better ventilation strategy would go far here. Despite the smoke, we enjoyed ourselves and will be back.

The place is so loud that you can’t hear the waitress or your companion. The tuna was better raw than cooked. I will not return, very expensive.

Has gone downhill since they originally opened. Their bubbling shrimp used to be amazing, now its missing that pop and the shrimp have gotten much smaller, but the price has gone up.

Black Rock's sirloin steak is as tender and tasty as most restaurant's fillet mignon cuts. There's No place like Black Rock for steak! Go there, Do that!!! You'll be glad you did!!!!

90% of the menu is frozen Sysco so if you claim it's amazing food, you obviously have no idea what amazing food is. The owner Lonnie is not a good person.

Great food and experience. Average prices for a steak house around the same as Outback, BUT better food! Cooking your steak on your stone is awesome. NO cold or room temp steak! Crab cakes one of the best i have ever had!

My husband and I took our son and his girlfriend to BR last night for all you can eat crab legs . The first plate that came out was decent & followed a small plate afterwards , when all of a sudden THEY RAN OUT ! We wondered how they would make to right to a lot of upset tables around us ( including ourselves) but they pulled it off wonderfully. They offered all u can eat steak , shrimp etc... in place of CL . My husband and I were very impressed with the way they handled what would of been a disaster . Both my son & husband ate 2 steaks and felt they "went over the top " with pleasing the costumers that evening . To top it off they gave us 2 additional coupons for a free steak meal to come back again . Needless to say we will come back anyway due to their outstanding customer service .

This is a very good establishment. Prep your own steak on a "HOT" rock. Amazing experience!!! Your friendly wait staff will assist if this is your first time dining here.

Top notch place to have a great dinner out. Steak was excellent. Sides we're very good and the sauces to choose from had awesome flavor. The drinks were on point and at the right price too! Service was also great. We couldn't have asked for anything to be better than it was. You might wait a few to get a table but you definitely won't be disappointed when you sit down and eat. We finished off the night with the 10 inch tall dessert consisting of basically a small sheet cake of brownie topped with a huge upside down waffle cone stuffed with vanilla ice cream, topped with whipped cream decorated in caramel and fudge sauce. Delicious all around. Would definitely recommend eating here more than once!

This is a difficult place to take family and friends due to the loud music and pre-occupation with cooking your meal. The rock is only hot for so long, so there is a bit of pressure to cut and cook food rather rapidly if you enjoy a steak medium-well. The quality of the food is excellent, but the cost is high if you compare this restaurant with similar venues. Veggies are in butter, no healthy options unless you make a special request. There is an oily/steak mist in the air that some people might find agitating due to poor ventilation; your coat will smell like steak the next day. Service was excellent on a busy Friday night. You can't make reservations but you can call ahead for priority seating to "cut you wait time in half" if you call more than 45 minutes in advance.

This place has great food and great service. We go frequently and have never had a bad meal. I would love if they had more dessert options, but as long as they have cheesecake there's something for me. We will go again, and again, and again...

Delicious as usual. Got the spinach and artichoke dip and Black Rock Chicken. Make sure to try the herb butter with your steak and put it right on the black rock while you sear the flavor into your steak.

First time going today. Will definitely be going back. 12 oz sirloin was very tasty with the herb butter they give you. A truly unique experience being able to cook steak on a heated stone in front of you. Pretty cool! Very tasty!

Its a catchy expensive restaurant where they bring your steak out cooking on a extremely HOT rock. You cook it to your liking. Because of covid they do not have their full menu. It's worth a try for the novelty of cooking it yourself. Nothing really blew my skirt up.

The food and service was great. Social distancing with the tables is lacking. They sit back to back thinking this is the way it works. Not cool. Almost left.

My first time going and it was a bitter sweet one. My food was delicious but my server was not so nice. I watched her as she brought our food to the table. Mind you, she did not wash her hands and she came and started to cut my meat to demonstrate how it was done and I politely asked her to let me do it. That was the only issue.

My buddy and I came up to Fenton to my buddies farmhouse he bought. Afterward, we looked on yelp to get some food. Found this place on yelp and it was close to the freeway. And it had a lot of good reviews.We ordered the lobster dip for an appetizer, and it was delicious. For my entree, I went with the black rock chicken. It was pretty good.Our server Samantha was on point. She took excellent care of us. I am going to have to come back and try the steak.

I need to leave reviews all over and let management know that my family and I had not been to black rock in probably a year. We will be returning more frequently after our experience. We had the most amazing waiter, Kevin. He was so kind and attentive. Checked on us frequently and got us anything we needed quickly. I NEVER write reviews or contact management when things are great. He is worthy of the time it takes to do so. Oh, and the food is fantastic. You can't go wrong with ANYTHING on the menu. Kudos to the cooks and chef.

Had the filet sliders for lunch which were really good. A bit pricey. I had the best service I have had in quite some time thanks to it being a little slow.

Black Rock wins our vote on all you can eat crab legs. The crab was awesome and our waitress rocked it out. She didn't miss a beat, yes we will be there for surf and turf😊😊

It doesn’t get better than having EVERY bite of steak be hot off the “grill.” I honestly don’t know why you’d order anything else but a steak from here. I mean, all the food is good, but the steak on the stone is by far the best thing to get. Their steak sauce is amazing, too. I dip every sizzling bite of steak in it. So good.

First time going out during Covid. We were greatly disappointed! The silverware we got both our forks had hard dried food on them. The napkin had a hair in it which the silverware was wrapped in. My son found another hair in the cheese that were served with the Pretzel bites! Very disgusting. 61.00 for a single mom and we couldn’t eat our food! 😡

Food is always good, like that you can cook your steak to your exact liking. Drinks are always good as well. The only downfall is you leave the place smelling like food. The ventilation needs some work. Everything else about it is really amazing.

Haven't been here in a few years (since they had lobster mac and cheese, which was awesome back when they had it). We had the pretzel appetizer and it was phenomenal. Pretzels were soft and not too satly, the two cheeses were amazing. For an entree, my wife and I split the steak and kielbasa combo and it was a decent amount of food tbh. It's hard to find good kielbasa and I want to say they nailed it. The steak (top sirloin) was good, not great, but good. I would say the ratio of kielbasa to steak was a little off, you get A LOT of kielbasa and then a 6oz steak. We also, had great service. I wish I could give this a 4.5 because everything was amazing truly, except for the steak which was good just not as great as everything else and this is a steak place. I would recommend if your interested and I'll probably be back at some point.

Food is exceptional. Service was spot on. The lobster bisque is served with the lobster claw. Crab cakes were pretty good, but just a bit bland served very little sauce and there are only 2 and not very big. The steaks are fabulous. They recently changed their menu. Prices went up and portion sizes went down, but the food is great. I love the zip sauce. They were out of the 2 desserts we wanted, so we tried the funnel fondue. The raspberry sauce was my favorite.

They had an all you can eat crab legs here. These were the best crab legs that I've ever had! They came out cooked perfectly and easy to eat. Our waiter RJ was on point despite it being packed. Always checking in, filling glasses, and bringing out food. The pretzel appetizer was amazing too! Best meal I've had I a while!

Delicious! One of those happy surprises when you are traveling. On the way to Mackinac Island when we saw a sign for this restaurant and decided to stop in, having no information about the place. Not only did we have great service and food, the ability to cook my steak the way I want is perfect. Great service, great atmosphere, great food.
